What is the Sunless Airbrush System?
It is a UV Free airbrush method to quickly provide you with a natural golden brown color.

How does it tan the skin?
The active ingredient in the sunless spray is the dihydroxyacetone (DHA). DHA reacts with the protiens in the top layer of the skin to produce a tan and darkens with repeated applications. Where UV light reacts with the skins melanin, DHA reacts with the skins keratin.

How safe is DHA?
DHA has been used safely in cosmetics for years. Many sunless tanning products contain this active ingredient, but because of the method of application it often produces an orange tint, especially on hands, feet and elbows. The airbrush method eliminates these drawbacks and gives a beautiful, natural bronze color.

When will I notice results?
You will begin to notice color within 2-3 hours after your session. The color will continue to get darker for up to 24 hours.

How long does it last?
A good base spray will last 5-7 days. It should be repeated at least once a week to keep a golden tan. Exfoliating and moisturizing prior to application will yield best results.

How long does it take?
It normally takes approximately 30 minutes for a full body airbrush application from start to finish, including your drying time. Drying for approximately 5-10 minutes after application ensures that no streaking will occur. We provide a hair dryer for your convenience.

Will I notice immediate results?
Depending on your skin type, you may or may not see immediate results. People with fair skin are more likely to see immediate results than those with darker skin or an established tan.

How should I prepare for the spray session?
Be sure to shower, exfoliate, shave and moisturize for maximum results. The night before your session we recommend you exfoliate with a sugar or walnut scrub, not a salt scrub, as they are drying to the skin. Be sure to rinse thoroughly after exfoliation so no trace of old soap or moisturizer is left behind. The skin has to be clean, no oils, creams, deodorant or makeup should be present. If the skin isn't clean, the tan won't last long.
Remember to come in to purchase your walnut scrub prior to your sunless appointment.

What if the spray gets on my clothes?
A small amount of spray may rub off on your clothes but it will easily wash off. We suggest loose fitting, dark colored clothing, preferrably cotton. Do not wear panyhose, tight jeans or other tight clothing, silk, leather or dressy clothes.

What do I wear during my spray session?
For your comfort, this is completely left up to the client. Some clients prefer to wear undergarments or a swim suit, we prefer for both our male and female clients that they wear at least a cotton thong undergarment.

Can I shower, swim or go to the gym after finishing my sunless spray session?
NO, you should not shower, swim or go to the gym for at least 6 hours after your session to avoid streaking and loss of color. We also suggest that you schedule any hair, nail or pedicure appointments before your spray session. We also remind clients in rainy weather to bring an umbrella in order to return to their car without getting wet and if they drive a car with leather seats to possibly cover the leather seat with towel so you do not sweat from the hot leather touching your skin during the hot summer months.

Will this tan provide protection from sunburn?
NO, this is a totally cosmetic tan and does not provide the sun protection gained from a UV produced tan.

How do I maximize the life of my sunless tan?
Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize!!! Since DHA colors the surface cells, the slower your skin cells turn over and are shed the longer your color will last. We offer a full line of moisturizers for UV and UV-Free Tanning.

Can I use the Sunless Airbrush System and tan in a UV Unit in the same day?
YES! However, if you choose to do this, you should use the UV unit first. This will avoid altering your sunless results due to perspiration.

Who can use the Sunless Airbrush System?
ANYONE! Very fair people who have trouble developing a tan in the sun, pregnant women, people who want a tan immediately, people with hard to tan spots, people that want to even out their skin tone, or enhance their current tan. And any age group can enjoy an airbrush tan.

Is it expensive?
NO, it is very reasonably priced. Full body, legs or face sprays are priced accordingly. We will be happy to go over all pricing prior to your scheduling your appointment.

Do you have products that will help me to prepare prior to and retain my color after my UV FREE Airbrush session?
Absolutely! We offer a full line of sunless tanning products including, primers, self-tanning lotions (tinted and untinted), and moiturizers to enhance your sunless results.
We have full size bottles or single use towelettes.

Do I need an appointment?
Yes. It is best to schedule an appointment the day prior to your special event. We will gladly help you in scheduling a time that fits your schedule. At this time we also go over your sunless preparation and how to take care of your tan after your session so you get the Ultimate Sunless Experience you deserve.
